In the last week or so there have been a lot of changes along the two-block corridor on Jefferson which means progress.
The contractor poured concrete pavement between Leavenworth and Hyde. It should be opened up to traffic on Monday. That means traffic will flow in one continuous lane westbound from Jones to Hyde (on the new roadway).
The pre-cast concrete walls were delivered to the jobsite and you may see them lined up between Leavenworth and Jones.
The north road way Jone...

This week forms were constructed for the first half of the block from Leavenworth to Hyde and next week crews will pour each band to make headway on the final part of the new roadway!

In order to get ahead of the forecasted Wednesday rain, work will be performed tomorrow (Saturday, March 16th). The contractor will pour the remaining curb and gutter along the south side of Jefferson Street, mid-block up to Hyde. The work will take place from around 7am to 3pm.
This puts the work ahead of the rain, allowing for plans to demo and pour that sidewalk by Tuesday if all goes well.
(Jefferson south curb this week as contractor demos. It will be poured on Saturday.)
